Six Weeks Before Move:

  • Call for moving estimates.
  • Call the Chamber Of Commerce and Visitors & Convention Bureau in your new town and get their new resident information packages.

  • Start using things up that you can't move, like cleaning supplies and frozen food.
  • Discuss tax-related moving expenses, liabilities, and deductions with your tax advisor.
  • Make a list of all people/organizations to contact about change of address.
  • Complete U.S. Postal Service change of address forms and mail them to all applicable publications, stores and organizations.
  • Get copies of (or arrange for transfer at both ends of move) all school, medical, dental, veterinary, legal, and accounting records.
  • Contact insurance agents to transfer or cancel coverage.
  • If it's a company move, check with your employer to find out what moving expenses they cover.

  • Locate and obtain all automobile licensing and registration information.

Four Weeks Before Move:

  • Get an itemized list of all moving related costs and review with mover, including packing, loading, special charges, insurance, vehicles (if needed), etc.
  • Contact all current and new location utility companies (gas, water, electric, cable TV, phone & trash collection) to set connect/disconnect dates. Remember to keep current utilities hooked up until move day.
  • Make arrangements for relocation of pets and plants.
  • Move valuables to safe deposit box to prevent loss during move.
  • If you are packing yourself, acquire packing materials/boxes and pack items you won't need for the next month.
  • If professional mover is packing your goods, schedule packing day(s) 1 or 2 days before move.
  • Prepare any mowers, snow blowers, boats, snowmobiles (or other vehicles you won't be using before the move) for the move by servicing and draining gas and oil, to prevent a moving van fire.
  • Repair, send out for re-upholstery, or clean furniture, drapes, carpeting as needed.

“Isabel went above and beyond what would be expected of a realtor. I was selling our family home for a uncle who was entering a nursing home. 100 years of accumulated stuff she helped me to manage. Even posting the free items on Craig's List for me. She also had a veteran's knowledge of pricing and strategy for us to get the best deal possible and identify the best potential offers and buyers. She made a very difficult task for me and my family a lot easier.” James Aiken

I am more than happy to recommend Isabel Orlandino, she has helped me buy three houses (two Single family homes, and one condo), and sell two of them. She is very knowledgeable, organized and trustworthy. I can't say enough about Isabelle's professionalism, true caring nature, and extensive knowledge/connections. She brings all these qualities to the table for her clients. Wish I could give her 10 stars! Thanks for all your help, Isabelle

Isabel helped me find a multi family for my parents 5 years ago. She was very accommodating with scheduling appointments around my hectic work schedule and was extremely helpful with finding and screening potential rental clients for the unit my parents were renting out. I will be in the market again shortly looking for myself and will once again connect with Isabel for guidance. She is my go to agent for any future purchases or sales.

I worked with Isabel on and off for the last few years. I finally purchased my home back on Aug 2016. Great experience!!! She is very professional, thoughtful and knowledgeable. She's very reliable and dependable. I've worked with other agents in the past, nothing comes close to the care I received from Isabel. I recommend her to anyone who's house hunting.

Isabel helped my husband and I find the perfect house to start our family. My husband and I were looking for a house a few months before our wedding. Isabel made it so easy and stress free. We were looking to stay in Medford and there was not too much inventory so we needed to be able to move quickly. Isabel found us a perfect size house in a great neighborhood. She was upfront and said she knew our budget and that this house was a fixer upper but for the price and neighborhood thought it was perfect for us and she was right. There was a lot of interest in the house but I think Isabel's knowledge, responsiveness, and the relationship she built with the listing agent really helped us get the house. We got the house under our budget, did the renovations, and now our house is worth double what we paid for it. We are incredibly happy with the service we received from Isabel and are in the perfect house for us!

I am a licensed attorney, a title agent of Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, and a partner at Fleming & Miranda. My firm specializes in real estate conveyancing. I have worked with Isabel Orlandino in her capacity as a Real Estate Agent for over eight (8) years. In my function as a closing agent and Real Estate Attorney, I have worked with Isabel in the closing of numerous real estate transactions. She has the experience and knowledge to successfully list and market properties, and is accessible and responsive to her clients and colleagues. Isabel understands that closing a real estate transaction is a team effort. I highly recommend Isabel because of her dedication to both buyers and sellers. I have the utmost confidence that she will continue to do so in the future.

Isabel helped my husband and I purchase our home in 2012. She was able to show us a variety of homes that met our specifications. Isabel was knowledgeable when it came to any questions we had and responded in a timely fashion. We love our home and were very happy with the support and dedication we received from Isabel while purchasing our first home.
